University life is not complete without joining any club or society event.  Others than attending lecturers, there are more activities conducted by club in university.

By joining a club, you will learn more about yourself, develop soft skills and team works with others, gain leadership skills and make new friends. There are so many ways that clubs can build a student into a good personality & self-organized person. So what are you waiting for? Come and let’s be a part of club.


There are 7 clubs under sports as follow:

Frisbee Club

Ultimate Frisbee is a non-contact team sport played with a flying disc, having spirit is one of the most important quality as an ultimate player. UCTS Ultimate Frisbee Club named Sturmer Ultimate Frisbee Club, established in 2018 by a group of students at UCTS, had successfully organized various events and competitions in Sibu, Sarawak.


Provides the new way to release student’s stress and increase the productivity to work and study.

To train and grow more ultimate frisbee players in Sarawak.


Aims to build students character and promote good sportsmanship, the honesty and integrity.


Taekwondo Club

This is the Taekwondo Club logo. The training time is every Wednesday 5:00pm till 6:30pm behind LTC.


Invent and spread taekwondo value.


To facilitate an environment where member growth positively impacts the team, university and community.

Badminton Club

Badminton is the second most popular sport in the world after soccer. It is a social sport and offers a great way to meet new people. UCTS badminton club is a club where student are able to play badminton and match with others, with minimum budget and under the guidance of some experience player.


Our mission is to recruit more students to join our club. For this semester we target to find more than 50 members. Another important mission for us is to provide better management and environment for students who come to meeting, such as provide good quality shuttlecock, provide good quality badminton court, and be helpful to our club members.


We look forward to organize two badminton competition in this semester, first competition is open for UCTS student only. The intention of the first competition is to allow all the students to take part in some competitive activity, so that students will focus more on exercise and stay healthy. At the same time, students can interact and socialist through this competition as well. Next, for the second competition, it is open for outsiders. The second competition is to allow UCTS student to challenge outsiders in court. This may allow UCTS students to gain great experience, and helps students to be more confident and comfortable for other big tournament such as MASISWA and SUKIPT.


Basketball Club

Basketball is one of the most popular sports in the world and one of the most widely viewed. It helps you to make new friends and you may have friendly competition with those players among the basketball skills and abilities to enhance your basketball knowledge.


To provides opportunities to student to play competitive basketball in UCTS. To be responsive, open communicative and well-organized basketball club in UCTS.


Playing basketball is an excellent avenue to teach moral principles and characteristic such as dedication, team work, discipline, self- confidence and sportsmanship.


Netball Club

Netball Club is a club that established on 2014 at UCTS. This club is only open for women. This club was established so that the students can enjoy netball game through a player centred programme of activities for participation development. Then, it is to find the talented netball players to represent out University in any level of tournament. Netball Club also established to create a clear pathway which supports talented student and identifies those with the greatest potential to succeed.


Committed to provide a great netball experience for all. Provide a club environment that fosters a sense of mate ship among the entire playing group both on and off the field. Play netball in the spirit of the game. Create a club that accessible, affordable and lead to all enjoyable outcome.


To remain a viable, progressive and socially responsible club that plays a vital part in meeting the sporting social needs of the UCTS community. To be seen as a stable and responsible club that makes a positive contribution to the university’s well-being by providing opportunities for everyone to participate to the best of their ability in both the competitive and social aspects of netball.


Futsal & Football Club

We are committed in creating and developing the player skills, fitness, teamwork and experiences. To achieve our goal, we are committed in proving a proper training, tools and equipment and hosting high class event or activity by using our resources efficiently. Trough the event, we will create good relationship between the students, staffs, and the public.


To be the best high education level soccer club by providing the high-quality soccer training and enhance their social or emotional and physical health, in a positive and safe environment.


To create a valuable soccer learning experience where we will make every effort to ensure that well-educated coaches develop the skills, fitness, teamwork and sportsmanship and run the memorable event as a formal UCTS event.


Wushu Club

Wushu is a martial art and sport derived from traditional Chinese martial arts. It was developed in China after 1949, in an effort to standardize the practice of traditional Chinese martial arts. In contemporary times, Wushu has become an international sport through the International Wushu Federation (IWUF). Instead of having real combat fighting, Wushu is more emphasized in performance. It can also consider as a sport to help students build physical fitness and self disciplines.


Improve the member discipline through the different training of the club. To improve the Wushu skill among members. To promote Wushu and to create a platform for UCTS students to unleash their hidden talent apian from giving a space for the students to spend their free time.
